The Adjigo are described as one of the founding families of Aného, who came from Elmina (Ghana) in the 17th century. The current king, Nana Anè Ohiniko Quam Dessou XV, has reigned since 2012. The "traditional Adjigo kingdom and allies" appears on the OpenStreetMap map of Aného.
